When they met in 2015 Leah had just moved back in the UK coupled with the brief 'to look for a nice guy who lived in Dublin' as her parents were keen on her to stay place in Ireland. Two weeks later she visited meet her friend at Oktoberfest in Dublin, along with a few steins in, Patrick walked to introduce himself and before too long the pair were "holding on the job the flying swings." Even so, it took seven months of dating for Patrick to officially ask Leah to become his girlfriend.

Leah's beautiful bouquet is made up of thistle, white roses, eucalyptus and baby's breath, each using its own special meaning. It looked strikingly beautiful using the deep blue ribbon that complemented her look perfectly.

After a difficult civil ceremony, the pair then hit off for Bray where they'd their wedding photos. Leah says her sparkler and also the rings were ordered just five days before the big day but managed to get just promptly!

When it found the proposal, Patrick booked an intimate weekend away. Being the very first time he had booked a visit in four years, Leah knew he was as much as something. "We headed as much as Finn Lough Resort . The bubble domes there had been on our travel wish lists for a few years then when Patrick booked it, I was delighted. After a wander round the Elements Spa Trail, Patrick teased me a bit by heading down on one knee numerous times, simply to tie his laces and stand back up again. Eventually, following a fabulous dinner in the restaurant, we went for any sundown drinks through the lakefront where Patrick proposed before a campfire."

After some bubbles within the sunshine along with a whole lot of laughter, the pair then made their method to their 200-year-old Georgian home which they'd just moved into in February 2021 during lockdown. "Our house is over two centuries old therefore we’re confident it’s not the very first wedding hosted there in the history," Leah informs us.

It started like a plan to obtain the legal bit done prior to the wedding in Spain however it became a lot more. "We had already postponed our original wedding with a year and lastly wanted to become husband and wife therefore we thought that the a couple of us would certainly show up at Bray registry office having a couple of witnesses. As we got nearer to the day and realised our Spanish wedding may not go ahead, we considered how disappointed we'd be to possess not shared our official big day with our families," says Leah. "From after that time, all plans became about how exactly we could include them from music to photography to close supplies!"

It would be a bonus that both families were already close and also got on so well following a camping trip the prior summer dubbed the “fedding” (fake wedding) by their siblings. Leah's something blue was the striking blue vintage topaz ring she was gifted by her mum. It looks totally perfect using the shades of blue inset here!

The crafty wedding couple organised their dining area to create the most amazing wedding reception. Awash with whites, sage greens and golds, this would be a picture perfect room to possess dinner in!

"Turning the house into our wedding venue for your day was stressful but so worthwhile! When we moved, we thought we’d decorate the dining area last however it quickly gone to live in the top of the list when the decision is made to have a reception/party with this families there."

The sequins on Leah's dress are mesmerisingly beautiful and catch the light within the most spell-binding way; we simply adore it!

Their cake looked scrumptious! Filled with buttercream icing and topped with fresh berries and macaroons - dreamy deliciousness.

Leah says, "If you want a little wedding, just go for this! Of course we'd have loved to incorporate our friends and relatives, but individuals are very understanding now and realise the struggles couples have undergone during covid. All that matters is you and your partner are married and you can start or continue your lives together."

"We understand how lucky we're that both our dream civil wedding and our scaled-down destination black wedding dresses could proceed, but neither were certain until per month beforehand. We could 't be more grateful to the family and friends who made both occasions more special than we're able to have ever imagined," she gushed.
