A Traditional Hacienda Wedding in Seville
Meet Sarah, a civil servant, and Andrew, who works in advertising, who have been married on 12 May 2018, in Seville, Spain. The couple first met through mutual friends nine years back whilst at university. Unbeknownst to Sarah, Andrew was interested immediately, however, it wasn't until after university they became a couple.
Sarah decided on a classically elegant off-the-shoulder gown, which she chose in Islington, London, and paired it having a spectacular cathedral-length veil trimmed with lace, also from Angelica Bridal.
"I find the FeelTimes dress since it was simple, classic, and timeless. The veil I chose gave it that little bit of drama, which I felt was required for such an amazing venue."
"You can keep on searching for any dress forever. So my advice could be not to worry and never to put a lot of pressure on finding 'the dress'. Just look for a dress that best suits you and you feel comfortable and happy in."
"I knew that I didn't want my bridesmaid dresses to appear and wear the same. I wanted to place the bridesmaids in outfits that represented their style in addition to my own. They are all beautiful and I desired to make sure they were happy and comfy in what they wore. I liked the bridesmaid outfits didn't all match but were all of a similar vibe. I was aiming for any laid back, colorful and modern approach."
"Of all of the places we'd visited in Spain, Seville happens to be our favorite. It is completely beautiful and thus quintessentially Spanish in the character."
Sarah and her dad arrived in the hacienda inside a wonderful 1940s Citroen Traction Avant, that they loved regardless of the lack of ac.
"My dad walked me down the aisle. I was lucky he am patient and calm when I thought we'd lost the bridesmaids…We walked on the aisle to Jessie Ware's Wildest Moments', our favorite songs."
"Our celebrant Diana wrote the structure for any very relaxed, friendly, and informal ceremony. One of the things she requested us to do ended up being to individually write the storyline of how we met and our engagement down. On the day she had merged them like a joint story. This set an excellent tone from the beginning that got people laughing and enjoying themselves."
Dinner was held within the Hacienda's magnificent courtyard, encompassed by its rich red walls and overlooked by its bell tower.
"The team at were so friendly, welcoming, and incredibly easy to use. They had styled the Hacienda often before and that we were as a whole agreement the Hacienda required hardly any decoration, we didn't wish to take away its natural charm…We kept flower décor fairly low-key, choosing more natural plants that blended in well using the venue."
Videographers also proved helpful with Andrew to make sure everything was captured just like Sarah and Andrew wished.
"For the evening we were built with a DJ called Pedro who we found with the venue. He was built with a great sound and lighting setup and played a combination of our playlist but interspersed with a few Spanish-style club songs. The big surprise for that evening's entertainment was an electrical violin player."
For their first dance together like a married couple, Sarah and Andrew chose Ben E. King's brilliant song, Stand By Me.
"It is a song that people both love and also the sentiment, lyrics, and elegance felt ideal for our first dance. (This was before Meghan and Harry copied us at their wedding!)"
Words of Wedded Wisdom
"Try to not get caught up in the worry and stress that can come with planning a marriage. Things may not always visit the exact plan, but attempt to let them go. Always remember the larger picture which no matter what happens, you're going to get married to the person you like. Try and spend as numerous moments together as you possibly can with your partner, you're going to get pulled away with friends and family, however, it is your entire day, and makes memories."
