A Stylish City Wedding filled with Flowers and Joy
Joni, a Musician who works best for two charities, 'Hear My Music' and 'music', tied the knot with Greig, an Image Retoucher, on 3rd August this season at St Andrews within the Square, Glasgow, that they chose for its beautiful convenient location and because they might have the entire day of celebrations there. I love how this couple brought the good thing about the natural wilderness into the urban jungle from the city….
"My bridesmaid Aelrid had researched, which was filled with absolutely dreamy dresses, Rachel was filled with great advice and knowledge also it was nice to understand she had selected the gathering that was within the shop, it managed to get more personal. I had been to some fair quantity of wedding dresses shops already however nowadays felt different, the very first dress I tried on, was the main one."
"Rachel had an understanding of fabrics and just how they were created and may tell us by pointing out design. Once I had ordered my dress, lovely treats arrived with the post, an attractive bracelet and fabric examples of my dress, and instructions explaining the following steps in my dress journey. So thoughtful making the whole process exciting and private. My dress felt so comfortable, I felt completely myself putting it on, simultaneously, perfect and stylish."
The bride wore a set of vintage diamond earrings that have been her 'something borrowed', using a best friend. Her vintage heart diamond necklace belonged to her Gran. She also decided to wear a scent that was chosen by the groom.
"We were lucky enough to get already know our florist Lauren, and her mum, she had done flowers for mutual friends' weddings and I had been lucky enough to get to visit their studio in the past and extremely loved the setting."
"I had taken some notes of flowers I loved and investigated what flowers my Granny had at her wedding too. We also wanted it to be natural and fitting for the venue. Lauren met around at St. Andrews within the square to talk through ideas, she then sent beautiful illustrations and ideas put down."
"We got together in January 2005, we met through our mutual friend Dan. Dan explained he had met this person on his college course who he knew I would like, a couple of months later he was on the mission to get us together and said 'He likes you… just kiss him'. Then he'd be off saying the same thing to Greig. Dan's matchmaking worked, he practically arranged our marriage."
"Greig and I got engaged in 2018 in January on our anniversary of 13 years, whilst on the trip to Mhor 84, Greig planned a walk and that we headed off in the hillside, weaving with the trees we climbed towards the top from the hill, we stopped in a romantic spot overlooking Loch Voil there, he proposed."
"It wasn't entirely unexpected but I hadn't seen it coming on that day so the proposal would be a surprise and delight. And of course, I said YES!"
"Our favors were a personalized Plectrum which had 'Joni & Greig' written onto it, designed through the groom."
"I love – they create the most stunning cakes. I met with Harry and he was delighted to talk through ideas, I wanted a cake table but with 3 big centerpiece cakes, we chose all of our favorite flavors coupled with 9 types of cake, so dreamy!! Seeing the wedding cake table set up on the day blew me away, I loved it, and thus did our guests."
"Being musical, I couldn't spread the chance to perform inside my wedding, I play inside a band included in my work so chose to take the chance to play the drum kit – 'Shake if off', by Taylor Swift and performed with my talented pals. Not sure the number of brides has played drums in their wedding gown, but I would recommend it!"
"Two from the groomsmen, Jamie and Joe, played for the ceremony and our first dance. Friends who are inside a ceilidh band, they're wonderful and provided us with Ceilidh and tunes all evening."
