A Modern Bohemian Country House Party Wedding

The venue is grand and stylish, however, the atmosphere is cozy and intimate, with roaring open fires, winter greenery, candles, fairy lights, and pops of festive red within the styling throughout. Martyna, an admin manager within the education sector, and Damien, who's a company director for, were married around the 4 January 2019 in the beautiful, Newark, in Nottinghamshire.

"We wanted our big day to be special, however, it was also extremely important to enjoy just as much time as you possibly can with all our guests. It was very private too. We had the whole place to ourselves for the entire day and night. Breakfast in the morning with everybody was a great opportunity to chat concerning the shenanigans the night before!"

Martyna and her bridesmaids carried spectacular bouquets, made for them by florists, and full of beautiful ranunculus and anemones, deep burgundy roses, ethereal asparagus fern, and fragrant eucalyptus.

"I always wanted a relaxed, bohemian style dress with lots of lace, having a long train and long sleeves, however, I wound up wearing a fitted dress with spaghetti straps as well as an open back. It would be a plain little number with lots of skin on the show. It's true what brides say – you will be aware when you discover the one."

With her dress, Martyna wore an easy, cathedral-length veil of proper tulle, along with a pretty necklace, bracelet, earrings, and rings.

For the bridesmaid dresses, Martyna was inspired by, that was Ultra Violet and chose lovely dusky purple dresses with pleated skirts and lace bodices. They wore their dresses using their selection of shoes, and necklaces gifted to them by Martyna.

Damien wore a good three-piece suit in deep blue, together with a red velvet bow tie, shoes, along with a surprise watch from Martyna. The groomsmen likewise wore deep blue suits, with red ties with white polka dots, plus they all wore bright red socks.

"Damien and I met through my ex-boss, Alison, now an excellent friend of ours. She gave Damien my number as she knew I was single at the time. I decided to go out for a drink, and I can't thank her enough now! We got on immediately and haven't been apart since. It took Damien 8 years to pop the question, but he made it happen in style, and surprised me during my holiday in Greece."

Capturing Martyna and Damien's day on film as well as on camera, with creativity along with a sensitive touch were photography duo, Eleanor and Nathan.

"I was thrilled that people found them. We also were built with a pre-wedding photoshoot together, which would be a fabulous move to make. We have an incredible number of fabulous photos, and couldn't be happier concerning the wedding video. Highly, recommended."

Tables were set beautifully for lunch, with crisp white linens and contrasting bright red runners, gold beaded charger plates, vintage gold candlesticks, cut crystal glassware, and bell jars painted with table numbers.

"We can't possibly select one favorite moment; the entire day was truly wonderful. I was very nervous before the ceremony for whatever reason, but I still enjoyed every minute of the day. I think having all of your closest friends and family from all within the country and abroad, on this one, big day, in an attractive venue, with an attractive setting, and seeing them enjoying themselves was a good thing. There will not be a day to enjoy it again, so yes I would say it was very special. There is nothing we'd do it differently, actually, we'd do it all once again tomorrow."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"This may well be a cliché, but please remember to savor every minute. Enjoy the planning, preparation, and all sorts of fuss. It might be stressful, but it's fun at the same time, too. Go and try as numerous wedding dresses as you would like."

"On your day, if something goes completely wrong don't panic and remain calm. It's not the finish of the world, and also the show goes on. Lastly, please don't get upset when the 'wedding night' doesn't happen, as you'll possess a lifetime to trap up! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!"
