Elegance For A Homespun Summer Wedding Celebration

This may be the wedding dresses of Ed who wed in deepest Surrey on 17 August 2019 at Abinger Common, Dorking then a wood and canvas marquee reception.

The bride's full-skirted gown, classic having a sexy, contemporary edge because of the plunging bodice, is quickly recognizable as a design.

"I didn't opt for any petticoat as I was alert to make the gown even bigger but usually, I loved the actual way it fell and felt with no extra structure. I didn't wish to take it off – l loved everything about this. I didn't provide a second consideration to any of the other dresses I had tried so when I thought about Ed in the morning suit, I thought the 933 was an ideal match."

"A dramatic, thick lace-edged veil was what I had always wanted however it just didn't work for me. In the finish, I went for any very simple tulle veil. Thanks to Rosie at Miss Bush for her advice and patience with mum and me once we went back and forth between lace and plain for weeks! We chose to keep it elegant and straightforward so as not to distract from the clean lines of the gown. I wore it at the top of my head above my ponytail to ensure that it framed my face. I wanted it to become visible in the front too and not simply trailing behind."

"I knew I wanted soft pinks and greens and virtually left up to the wonderful Marion in the Flower Shop to operate her magic. The flowers included white waxflower, two different roses, pink astilbe, white astrantia, and green hydrangeas framed by eucalyptus. I loved the satin ribbons which perfectly matched the bridesmaid's dresses, bringing everything together."

Her classic pearl jewelry originated from and in her hair, she wore an easy hair vine. I love the current, sleek pony that her dark hair was pulled into by who also applied her glowing make-up.

The couple met back at university but were just friends before their relationship developed.

"Ed proposed one Tuesday evening after work within the back garden. It was an attractive evening and he had set up a cute little picnic scene that they claim he bought straight from a John Lewis display. He took a special afternoon off to obtain everything ready but met me in the station once we normally do on our way home so I just thought he'd been at the office as usual. It was this type of surprise; it had been perfect. We got in engaged in May 2018 and married in August 2019, therefore we were engaged for fifteen months."

The couple wed inside a traditional Church of England ceremony, before all their friends and family.

"The service is special and I loved listening to the readings and singing the hymns we'd selected together. Seeing our friends and family for the very first time together in one location just for us was magical – cheesy but true!"

After the service, the newlyweds emerged into the summer's day along with a shower of rose petal confetti.

"I made our confetti myself, much to Ed's annoyance, and frequently took over our whole family room floor within the year before the wedding carefully drying all of the roses Ed and friends had bought me. My mum along with a few of her friends also joined in by the wedding we'd just enough."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Enjoy your engagement. Don't start too soon as it's super easy to obtain caught up in the look, the facts, the politics. It's likely to come around quickly so ensure that you take a breath and relish this special time."
