An Edinburgh City Micro Wedding
I adore everything relating to this joyful, stylish, colorful, and intimate wedding within the beautiful and historic city center of Edinburgh – around the Royal Mile itself, no less.
This may be the lovely, intimate celebration of, who's a community project worker by having an Edinburgh-based charity, and Martin, a mechanical engineer. They wed around the 8th of August 2020, whilst they had planned to keep their ceremony there at the outset, they postponed their original date for the wedding to May 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ally and Martin first met via Bumble, and Ally proposed to Martin on her behalf birthday in 2019. They were engaged for approximately a year before their big day, using their original pre-Covid plan being to keep a simple City Chambers ceremony and then a stroll to a nearby pub for his or her reception.
"In planning our day, I was very attracted to small, colorful, and relaxed weddings. Neither people thrive on being the center of attention, therefore the emphasis for all of us was more about creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere for the guests to savor."
"I found FeelTimes prom dresses on Instagram and fell deeply in love with her contemporary yet vintage-inspired dresses. I chose her 'Knight' bias cut dress within the color 'Bloom' since it looked elegant, beautiful, and comfy."
"The design of the gown with its draped detailing around the waist fell beautifully around my bump. I felt beautiful and confident around the day."
"I was looking for any dress which was vintage-inspired, unique, elegant, and comfy, and which dress ticked all those boxes for me. As mentioned above, I love how even though I had already chosen this dress before Covid-19 and before I was pregnant, it fit my pregnant body wonderful."
"Martin and I aren’t too comfortable before a camera but we felt relaxed with Sinead, which is right down to her calm and friendly nature. She had taken time to find locations before the service which was away in the crowds to create us feel at ease."
"We were within the moon whenever we saw the images. They were precisely the natural shots that people were hoping for. We can't recommend a far more talented, instinctive, warm, and friendly photographer for your big day."
Words of Wedded Wisdom
"If you're forced to reduce your day, it won't allow it to be any less special. Without all the bells and whistles, the emphasis the entire day is around the love you have for that person you're marrying. You can also think about the amazing party you can throw in the future to celebrate using the people who would have been there!"
