The bride's sleek and classic gown, using its lace back, puddle train, and long sleeves, would be a custom gown, ideal for a winter wedding.
"I wanted something simple, classic, and stylish that helped me feel like my best self which is what that dress did. It tied in so well using the rest during the day. If I was to get it done all over again I would pick this dress. I wasn't concerned about dancing, moving, or feeling uncomfortable."
The day's photographer was none other than, a much-loved person in ours. Amy specializes in beautiful, classic, and timeless photography.
"Amy wasn't intrusive and didn't cause you to stand smiling, staged all night. She's super-relaxed, wise and it has shot many wedding dresses at Babington House so I felt completely confident with her and trusted that they knew the venue very well."
The couple met at the office in Sydney in 2014 but didn’t start dating till early 2016.
"We got engaged in the Park Hyatt Hotel overlooking Sydney Opera House on 25 March 2018. I virtually knew from your first date that I was onto the best thing. Our first date lasted ten hours following a lovely lunch at Hugo's in Manly. I feel so lucky that people opted for December 2019 and were able to get all of our family and friends from around the world in one room."
Whilst the marriage party enjoyed a drinks reception, played live music.
"After dinner, we desired to create a big party so we'd trays of espresso martinis for those guests waiting to obtain them ready for that dancing ahead. This was so fun and everyone loved them."
Words of Wedded Wisdom
"The day is about the marriage of you and also the person you like. If that happens then it's successful, everything to make it a 'wedding' is extra. Don't be worried about every teeny detail – it's only you who will notice when the ribbon around the menu is another shade of the bridesmaid dress. Keep the music playing, food coming, and drinks flowing as well as your guests are going to be happy."
