A FeelTimes Wedding Dress for any Cambo Estate Wedding in Scotland

Some of my favorite weddings on Love My Dress are the ones that respect the good thing about their natural surroundings. I love how this couple has embraced the wild beachside location, along with the grandeur of the venue itself, to create this memorable celebration. The wedding, held on 4 September 2021, was built with a sumptuous color pattern of gold and ivory and was built with a luxe, sophisticated vibe to complement the grandeur of the location.

"We find the Cambo Estate in St Andrews, Scotland since the estate looked around the beach and that we could have all of our guests stick with us for that weekend in one location. I wanted our wedding dresses to complement the grandeur of the setting; ivory and gold, huge flowers, a champagne tower, oysters."

The bride walked on the aisle to satisfy James as her friend and professional performer Gary sang Robert Burns' song 'My Love Is Like A Red, Red Rose'.

"We wanted traditional vows and my pal read a Shakespeare Sonnet about marriage – Sonnet 116 – which I have loved since school. I had highlighted it inside a book by which I had written the date, 1999."

"I loved every minute putting it on because it was this type of huge princess dress and I felt amazing however it did get just a little hot so I'm glad I had the 2nd dress to alter into for that dance floor. When I found my dress online, I knew it had been the one – it was the only real dress I tried on."

The bridesmaids wore high-low hem gowns from Biba in 'sea foam', which perfectly matched the men's ties.

James and Jennifer met on Hinge and were built with a short engagement of seven months.

"James's first message in my experience was, 'I think you may be my perfect woman'. We left London to maneuver to Brighton. On a morning run across the beach, when I was very hungover, I turned around and James was on his knee. We got engaged yesterday Valentine and married seven months later."

Come evening, the bride is to be slipped right into a slinky Olivia Von Halle slip dress, ideal for dancing. She added Shrimps earrings to complement her headband.

The evening dance was played for with covers and ceilidh band, following a first dance to 'I Was Made For Lovin' You' by Kiss.

"James sent this track in my experience after our first date. We couldn't think of the first dance song. I suggested this therefore we realized he'd sent it in my experience but we'd forgotten, so it had been a nice turnaround."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Plan each detail down towards the minute and delegate on-the-day items to other people which means you don't need to bother about anything and may drink everything in. I didn't want any help within the planning but for around the day, delegate, delegate, delegate."
