HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR WEDDING DRESS

Now that you've chosen the wedding dress, it's about keeping it perfect until the wedding day. Here's what we should advise:

BEFORE THE WEDDING:

Bringing Your Wedding Dress Home: transport the wedding gown in the vehicle with enough space to put the wedding dresses gown flat using the flowing train down.

Hanging & Storing Your Gown: hang the wedding gown up to possible and then leave it within the FeelTimes garment bag. Open the bottom of the bag to spread the train out. (Lay down a clean white sheet if required.)

If your FeelTimes wedding dress has multiple layers of material like crepe, chiffon, and lace, or intricate embellishments like hand-beading and sequins, it's better to keep it laid flat and from direct sunlight. If the wedding dress is lightweight enough to hang, always employ a padded hanger and secure the marriage dress through the inside loops, never the shoulders.

Climate: ensure that you keep your wedding dress away from heat and dampness. (You can even make use of a dehumidifier within the room.)

Gown Gazing: we all know it's tempting, however, to keep the wedding dress pristine and free from wrinkles, do not remove it in the FeelTimes garment bag or handle it an excessive amount of before the wedding day.

On Your Wedding Day

Put on the wedding dress only after hair and makeup are complete. If you have to touch up, place a clean white towel over your dress. We like an emergency wedding dress kit on hand—extra beads/sequins, baby powder (for easy wedding gown stain removal), a mini sewing kit. Last and many important, make sure to hold up the wedding skirt and train when outdoors. Now all you have to do is shine!

After the Wedding

Hang the wedding dress and allow it to breathe a little. If you want to wear your dress again, it ought to be dry-cleaned right after the marriage and kept in a box, (not plastic, which could cause stains.) You'll require a box for storing your gown that's a minimum of 1/3 the size of the front of the wedding dress. Be sure to use plenty of tissue to line this area and stuff the gown to keep creases from forming. Take the wedding dress from storage once in a while, search for deterioration of any sort, and give it back to its box to ensure that it stays in its best condition.

Professional Preservation: If you want to guarantee that the wedding dress is kept in absolutely perfect condition, it's better to have it professionally preserved, with methods that remove existing damage and box the gown so that it's completely shielded from the elements.
